This is a design that I made with yellow clay on black paper, a work that refers to mourning, but also to struggle. Because even amid the chaos of deaths and suffering of mourning, many people were afflicted by the conflicts and tensions because of the struggle for the territory. At its centre is a person who seems to be leaving, seeking refuge.
I chose this name, because I saw that in this pandemic many people turn to the forests or villages, areas far from the cities to take refuge. So, I see in this pandemic, a mixture of mourning, struggle and refuge.
